Jr. 76ers Camps is the longest running and largest summer camp program in the NBA. Join our team to help inspire young athletes, work with an outstanding team of youth coaches, and develop professional skills to advance your career.
A Coach handles camper group management and assists with basketball instruction, skill development, and games for Jr. 76ers Camps. Coaches are assigned to coach in one of the following age groups:
- Rookies: ages 6 to 8
- Sophomores: ages 9 to 11
- Veterans: ages 12 to 14
Camp Locations:
Jr. 76ers Camps are located at various facilities in the Delaware Valley. Camp options include four-day programs (Monday through Thursday) or five-day programs (Monday through Friday) from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Jr. 76ers Camps is offered at 23 locations over a 11-week period from mid-June through August.

- Collingswood High School (Collingswood, NJ)
- Katz JCC (Cherry Hill, NJ)
- Moorestown High School (Moorestown, NJ)
- Riverwinds Community Center (West Deptford, NJ)
Requirements:
- Basketball Background: Experience playing youth, scholastic, or college basketball preferred.
- Experience: We are looking for experience working with children.
- Previous experience working with children in a camp setting is preferred.
- Youth coaching experience preferred.
- Age Requirements: Must be at least age 18 by the start of camp.

Schedule Commitment: Jr. 76ers Camps run for 11 weeks from the middle of June through the end of August. Schedules are flexible, with most team members working four to six weeks throughout the summer.
Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Exact hours depend on camp location and camp times.
Required Training: Complete all required ESF and state-mandated training and onboarding.
Dress Code: Maintain the "Jr. 76ers Camps Look" (camp uniform) and embody the spirit of the camp.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Basketball Instruction: Promote and participate in daily basketball activities with enthusiasm, collaborating effectively with fellow coaches.
- Lead a group of 8 to 12 campers in skill instruction periods, competitions, character development sessions and more.
- Help to instruct and act as a referee.
- Supervise team during the camp day, including during lunch and carline.
- Safety & Positive Group Management: Ensure the safety and well-being of campers with an emphasis on positive behavior and effective group management. Promptly report any concerns to the Director.
- Be the Ultimate Role Model: Supervise campers, while fostering a positive, welcoming, and safe environment.
- Demonstrate ESF Core Values & Code daily, from “Gratitude” to “Bring It” daily.
- Model the ESF Virtues of Character (Gratitude, Respect, Trustworthiness, Effort, Kindness, Positivity, Resilience, Community) in camp daily.
- Adhere to all company policies.
- Communication: Maintain clear, concise, and engaging communication with campers, families, peers, and our leadership team.

Reporting Relationships:
- Reports directly to and takes direction from the Division Coordinator, with additional accountability to the Director.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Push/pull, lift, and carry a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds across campus. Work outside, upright, and mobile for six (6) to eight (8) hours per day
- Respond to emergencies, including running (up to 1 mile in some cases) and ascending stairs without undue exertion.
