Sous Chef
The Chabad of Greater Daytona is looking for an part-time experienced individual to take charge of the daily operations of their kitchen, serving the synagogue and school community. The ideal candidate will play a major role in meal preparation for the school and community events, catering to around 200 people.
Sous Chef Job Responsibilities:
- Lead role in preparation of meals, ensuring adeherene to dietary restrictions
- Oversee the daily operations of kitchen ensuring efficient workflow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen including proper santinzation Keep the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized
- Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment to ensure it operates safely and efficiently
- Manage the kitchen inventory, order ingredients and supplies
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in a culinary role (2 years preferred)
- Menu planning
- Leadership skills
- Attention to detail
