Our team of international tax planning specialists provides international tax consulting services to help businesses compete effectively in the worldwide arena while ensuring a homegrown perspective on local regulations and tax issues.
The International Tax Manager will provide specialized services addressing a wide array of international tax concerns, including foreign expansion assistance; transfer pricing; tax treaty analysis; employees working abroad; cross-border structuring; foreign tax credit planning; and international tax compliance projects.
What your day looks like:
- Works with clients and firm partners to determine engagement objectives and assumes a lead role in coordinating resources to meet such objectives.
- Develops engagement budgets, coordinates required resources, bills engagements, and manages performance against stated objectives to ensure that client (deliverables) and firm objectives (engagement economics) are met.
- Provides guidance and experience to ensure that engagement risks are identified and appropriate responses (including specific tax steps) are taken.
- Provides timely on-site review of and feedback on the work of Tax Seniors and Staff.
What you need for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree preferred
- CPA and/or JD; Masters in Taxation (MST) or LLM in Taxation is a plus
- 5 years of progressive International Tax consulting and/or compliance experience with a public accounting firm, law firm, or large corporate tax department of a multinational company
- Strong tax technical skills and accounting skills. Strong analytical skills, verbal and written communication, people, project management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with ProSystem fx, CCH, RIA, and/or Engagement is a plus.
