The Assembly Technician II will require drilling & taping holes, cut, strip, bend, and mount wires to connect electrical units within the panel.
Job Duties
Essential Duties
- Follow detailed assembly instructions in a variety of formats (i.e., drawings, schematics, bills of material, internal procedures or some combination thereof), and report work completed on a daily basis
- Recognize and report problems with quality, processes, equipment or materials to Production Lead, Supervisor or Operations Manager
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing best practices
- Work with a moderate degree of supervision
- Layout enclosures and sub panels for assembly/cutouts based on information provided
- Identify components and its intended function as it applies to equipment to be built
- Understand various wiring methods of connection and apply proper methods to the equipment being built
- Perform quality checks on completed assemblies, as needed
- Maintain and update the results related to various tests and inspection procedures conducted regarding the product specifications
- Make sure that all the parts, labor, and other processes are progressing at the given time
- Resolve discrepancies and maintain the integrity of panels
- Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers as needed
- Other duties, as assigned, within capabilities and responsibility of the position
- Construction field environment may require climbing stairs, standing, bending, and lifting
- Office, production, and manufacturing shop environment
- May be required to work overtime as needed
Educational/Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3 years as an Assembly Technician and/or similar position
- Ability to distinguish colors (wires)
- Read blueprints and/or standard work instructions
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to learn new computer software programs
- Strong electro-mechanical skills (soldering, proper wire stripping and crimping techniques)
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Attention to detail
- Highly motivated, organized and team player
- Build relationships with customers
- Basic knowledge of necessary instruments and tools
- Candidate must have a Texas valid drivers' license and insurance
- Due to our customer base applicants for this position may be subject to a criminal background check that includes being fingerprinted for a CMS Badge
- Requires a good driving record, drug testing, and a clear background check. Ability to work 7am to 3:30 pm.
