The Intern – To assist with water quality sampling and analysis, as related to WWTP, WTP, and/or MS4 systems, monitoring and reporting requirements in individual and general permits. Data collation and analysis for WWTP, WTP, and MS4 report input, including Excel and use of ArcGIS, among other relevant software programs. This is a temporary Full-time or part-time position.
Salary: $22/hr
Responsibilities
Education/Experience: Master’s degree in geology, hydrology, or related field.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License
Technical: Ability to follow to follow software instructions for Microsoft Suite, ArcGIS and water software programs, and other relevant programs. Basic proficiency in internet, researching valid databases for reliable information.
Communication: Communicates clearly & professionally. Contributes to a positive internal & external customer experience. Willing to help others. Maintains composure in challenging situations.
Problem Solving & Quality: Pays attention to detail. Identifies & solves problems. Escalates issues accordingly. Checks work for quality.
Managing For Results: Works well with supervision. Takes projects to completion. Follows all company policies & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Manages multiple tasks.

Responsibilities
- Learn through observation of how WWTP, WTP and/or MS4 systems function, relating to water quality inputs and outputs along treatment train.
- Learn to how to operate water sampling equipment, read/comprehend laboratory reports, collect and organize data.
- Learn to generate graphics based on data.
- Learn to conduct routine testing, monitoring and maintenance of production wells, water/wastewater unit processes and basic laboratory analyses.
- Ensures facilities are clean, neat and secure.
- Provides customer service functions when necessary.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
- Will be required to complete a 500-word essay at conclusion of assignment.
