General Summary:
eShocan is seeking an Administrative Specialist A to support the Prototype team in managing the Bill of Materials (BOM) process within our ERP system. In this role, you will ensure the accurate implementation of engineering document changes, attend prototype builds to address BOM-related issues, and provide regular updates to the program team. This is a contract position with a possibility of hire based on performance and business needs.Key Responsibilities:

Bill of Materials (BOM) Management:

Analyze engineering documentation (drawings, SMS structure, color instructions, etc.) and input the New Model BOM into the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.

Change Management:

Identify and communicate engineering changes that need to be reflected in the BOM, ensuring timely and accurate updates.

Issue Resolution:

Organize and lead meetings to review open issues related to the BOM, attend prototype builds to extract issues, and work with engineering to resolve discrepancies.

Commodity and Program Coordination:

Manage the "Make vs. Buy” process for components like seats, frames, carpets, and more. Develop and present detailed commodity plans and program assignments.

Program Status Reporting:

Attend weekly program meetings, providing updates and ensuring clear communication of program progress and issues.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

Work closely with engineering and procurement teams to ensure that all necessary information is communicated and acted upon.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to company policies regarding safety, confidentiality, quality, and information security.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Associate's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

1-3 years of experience in production, prototype procurement, engineering, or manufacturing processes.

Skills:
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes related to plastics, metals, foam, textiles.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering documents (drawings, change instructions).
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Oracle) is preferred.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

Languages:Japanese and/or Spanish is a plus.
Software:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other computer-based applications.

Work Environment:

Office Environment: Open office setting with moderate noise levels.
Travel: Up to 5% travel may be required.
Physical Demands:
