Description:
TMNA Chassis Design is seeking a motivated and collaborative engineer to work on various chassis functions for the projects under development and already in production. Chassis design division is responsible for suspension/axle, frame, tire/wheel, shifter, steering wheel, steering system, brake system and controls. A chassis design team member has an opportunity to work on a variety of chassis systems over time.
We have current opportunities to work in the Body-on-Frame truck group as well as in unibody group responsible for Sedan, SUV and Minivans. The position will report to the Sr Manager of the group.
What you ll be doing
Coordinate model life management for Steering systems of light-duty Truck, SUV, and Minivan models, focusing on the following:
Arrange technical documentation, drawings, and parts lists updates based on vehicle change points or external group requests
Perform regulation and certification confirmation activities
Lead communication between design, supplier, and project management teams as needed
Monitor North America steering field issues and warranty condition for steering components, including completing root cause investigations as needed.
Support benchmarking and study of cost reduction proposals with suppliers and make proposals for implementation
Requirements:
What you bring
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
Excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills
5 years or more as a Mechanical engineer or equivalent

Experience in Chassis design and development
Experience in CATIA
