Job Title : Launch Engineer

Overview :
eShocan is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Launch Engineer to join our team in Casa Grande, Arizona. This individual will play a key role in driving automotive program launches, from pre-SOP to post-SOP. The ideal candidate will bring a background in mechanical engineering, extensive CAD design experience, and a proven track record of supporting automotive program launches, particularly in the areas of bumpers, exterior ornamentation, and frontend modules.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead Launch Activities : Oversee and manage the launch of automotive components, specifically Front / Rear Bumper Fascias, other exterior ornamentation, and Frontend Modules, ensuring smooth transitions from design to production.
- CAD Design Support : Utilize CAD tools (preferably 3Dx or Catia V5) to design, analyze, and support the production of components during the launch phase.
- Root Cause Analysis : Lead efforts in identifying and solving production issues, conducting root cause analysis using tools like Ecube reviews, 8D reports, and fishbone diagrams.
- Metrology & Dimensional Analysis : Organize and lead metrology resources to obtain dimensional data, including scanning, to facilitate root cause analysis and ensure quality standards are met.
- Countermeasures & Solutions : Develop and implement quick countermeasures to address and resolve production issues, including 3D printing, tape / foam solutions, and physical adjustments such as grinding and cutting.
- Collaborative Leadership : Provide hands-on leadership on the shop floor, directing and mentoring teams to ensure the proper installation and integration of automotive components.
- Process Optimization : Use Design of Experiments (DOE) to analyze and improve processes, ensuring timely and successful launches.
- Documentation & Reporting : Create and maintain reports, drawings, and presentations (PPT) for internal and external communication, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the launch process.
Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of experience in CAD design, preferably using 3Dx or Catia V5.
Strong proficiency in CAD software (3Dx or Catia V5).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and direct teams on the production floor.
