JOB SUMMARY:
Elevator Systems is currently seeking an experienced Regional Business Development Manager in the Mid-West/Chicago area. Working directly with the senior staff and company leaders, the individual will be responsible for understanding the market dynamics around product, pricing, promotions and recommending to management new avenues to explore and grow in Chicago and Midwest territory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop the Elevator Controllers, Compliance solution products and related business in Texas and surrounding territories.
- Maintain competitive intelligence.
- Collaborate with new and existing customers to facilitate their product needs.
- Support customer Sales and technical needs with Presentations, meetings, etc.
- Quote prices, credit terms, or other bid specifications.
- Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers’ needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
- Maintain customer records, using automated systems.
- Identify prospective customers by using business directories or social media, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and associations or attending trade shows and conferences. Use industry knowledge and expertise to explore new geographic markets.
- Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-3 years of related sales experience, elevator sales or industry experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawing and/or blueprint/drawings and specifications preferred.
- Experience with elevator New Construction, and Modernization Sales strongly preferred.
