ESI is now hiring an Elementary School Counselor in the Columbus, OH area for the 2025-2026 school year.
POSITION SUMMARY:
ESI is seeking qualified applicants to fill an Elementary School Counselor position. The School Counselor is responsible for providing assessment, counseling, written reports and referrals for students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology or related field
- Prior Similar Experience
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, push a cart, or lift during the entire shift
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, including small packages and supplies
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and maintain an effective school counseling program.
- Communicate the goals of the comprehensive school counseling program with students, staff and parents.
- Assist all students, individually or in groups, with developing academic, career and personal/social skills, goals and plans.
- Complete reports as required by Federal, State and local agencies.
- Collaborate and communicate with parents/guardians, and other educators to assist the students.
- Participate in school meetings, staff meetings and committees as needed.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Imagine Schools Six Measures of Excellence in the execution of duties.
- Model positive character virtues and habits. Assist students in developing positive moral and performance character attributes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Principal/School Leader.
