Eskola, LLC – The Greenville/Spartanburg, South Carolina branch is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team! The right person for this role will be able to learn our services, our mission, our values, and our industry to start providing solutions for a large client base.

As a Service Laborer, you will assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems for commercial properties. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, handling tools and materials, and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of roofing projects under the supervision of the lead roofing crew. Given our service and position in the industry, you will gain more knowledge about the roofing industry and solving customer issues than anywhere else, while you maintain a record of exceeding your goals.

Specific Duties, Functions, and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation, repair, and replacement of roofing systems on commercial buildings (e.g., flat roofs, metal roofs, and membrane roofs).
• Load and unload roofing materials such as shingles, metal sheets, insulation, and other roofing components.
• Cut and trim materials to fit specific areas on the roof, ensuring precise measurements.
• Install insulation and vapor barriers to protect the roofing structure and improve energy efficiency.
• Operate roofing equipment, including ladders, scaffolding, power tools, and lifting machinery, while following safety protocols to comply with OSHA regulations.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas by clearing debris and disposing of waste materials.
• Ensure that the work site is secure and free from hazards by following all safety guidelines.
• Assist in the removal of old roofing materials and prepare surfaces for new roofing systems.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects on schedule.
• Follow project plans and specifications as directed by the Roofing Superintendent or Project Manager.
• Conduct regular inspections of roofing systems to identify and repair minor issues, if needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
• Comply with all company policies and OSHA safety regulations.
• Participate in company training events as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in roofing, construction, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Basic knowledge of roofing materials and techniques is a plus.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work at heights and on steep or sloped surfaces.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs. or more) and perform labor-intensive tasks.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
• Not afraid of heights or ladders.
• Be on time for all shifts and prepared at the assigned time with all personal tools and PPE.
• Must be willing to travel and work out of town.

Bonus Skills & Qualifications:

• 3-5 years roofing experience
• Bilingual (including English)
• OSHA 10 hour or 30 Hour Card
• Aerial Man lift and Forklift Certified
• CDL
• First Aid/CPR
• Sheet metal experience
