Job Description:
Eskola, LLC – The Memphis, Tennessee branch is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team! The Superintendent will be responsible for leading roofing Foremen to perform work safely and productively per specifications and to the standards of the company and customers resulting in quality commercial roofing installations.
The Superintendent will effectively manage all aspects of new roof production and reroofing to meet company and project goals, represent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with customers, personnel, and the public, provide consistently high-quality service and results, provide leadership to foremen fostering safety, teamwork, and discipline.
The duties of Superintendent will also include, but are not limited to ensuring crews have information and instructions necessary to complete jobs, submitting reports and paperwork to office in a timely manner, reviewing final paperwork to ensure change orders are reflected and billed, participating in manufacturer final inspections, participating in regular review meetings with project managers, visiting job sites daily, conducting or participating in daily safety audits, and engaging with customers to answer questions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Supervise Foremen to Lead Safe, Efficient, and Quality Roof Production System Installations as well as Reroofs:
- Oversee field staff
- Assist Foremen with crew leadership
- Train field staff in safety, work skills, and efficiency
- Provide feedback to foremen regarding job performance
2. Ensure Production and Quality Goals:
- Maintain understanding of contract information for jobs
- Track labor hours and production costs against stated goals
- Schedule materials, equipment and deliveries paying special attention to using inventoried materials
- Monitor material usage, minimize waste, anticipate shortages
- Order materials as needed
3. Deliver Excellent Customer Service:
- Engage with customers to answer questions and provide explanations
- Schedule daily or weekly contact with customers to review progress
- Discuss any outstanding issues with customers and other parties
- Meet with customers to verify satisfaction with work and billings
- Deliver warranties
4. Manage and Coordinate Job Details Between the Field and Office:
- Review plans and sites
- Delegate crews and complete all pre-job planning including but not limited to creating site-specific safety plans and work plan efficiencies
- Ensure crews have information and instructions necessary to complete jobs
- Investigate incidents, near misses, accidents and thefts, and provide relevant documents, photos, and assessments to the office
- Review final paperwork to ensure change orders are reflected and billed
- Deliver all documentation to the office in a timely manner
- Participate in manufacturer final inspections

Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Superintendent experience preferred
- Proficient in math skills relevant to roofing work
- Superior attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines
- Self-motivated with strong leadership abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions
- Physical ability to inspect and monitor work activities on rooftops, including the ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders or scaffolding for extended periods
- Not be afraid of heights or ladders.
Working Conditions:
- This position primarily involves working on commercial roofing construction sites.
- Travel is required to oversee projects at different locations
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and in a physically demanding environment
