SUMMARY :

The New Product Development (NPD) Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing ESL's product development initiatives to ensure a continuous pipeline of innovative, market-driven solutions. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader to define and implement a new product stage gate process that balances speed with effectiveness, ensuring ESL can bring new products to market quickly while maintaining quality and commercial viability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product development, project management, and cross-functional collaboration, with a proven ability to streamline processes and drive results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Launch and manage ESL’s New Product Development program to achieve strategic growth goals.
• Define, implement, and continuously improve a stage gate process that accelerates time-to-market while ensuring product viability and alignment with market needs.
• Establish and maintain SOPs for the NPD process, including clear milestones, deliverables, and accountability checkpoints.
• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new product opportunities based on market research, customer feedback, and business strategy.
• Ensure each product development project adheres to the defined stage gate process and meets quality, cost, and timeline expectations.
• Develop and lead ESL's Voice of the Customer (VOC) program to ensure customer insights are integrated into the product development process.
• Conduct customer interviews, surveys, and feedback sessions to gather insights on market needs, pain points, and opportunities.
• Use VOC data to influence product concepts, features, and enhancements, ensuring new products meet customer expectations.
• Lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle, ensuring timely and efficient execution at each stage gate.
• Collaborate with internal departments (Engineering, Production, Marketing, and Sales) and external partners (design consultants, prototyping vendors) to bring products to market.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, balancing the need for speed with quality and long-term success.
• Coordinate projects with the Marketing and sales Department to ensure optimum deployment of new products
• Implement KPIs to track the success of new products, including sales performance, time-to-market metrics, and post-launch evaluations (1-year, 2-year, and 3-year reviews).
• Work with Manufacturing engineering to ensuring new products are designed for manufacturability
• Hand off designs to Engineering in an efficient manner.
• Provide regular progress updates to senior leadership on NPD activities, milestones, and results.
