We are looking for a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to provide hands-on maintenance and repair services for our facility, ensuring all equipment and infrastructure operate efficiently. This role involves troubleshooting, performing repairs, and coordinating vendor services as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete and respond to assigned work orders, troubleshooting calls, and emergency maintenance requests.
- Perform maintenance and repairs across various trades, including carpentry, painting, drywall, electrical, plumbing, and furniture installation in collaboration with the Facilities team.
- Assist with vendor coordination for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services, including obtaining quotes, scheduling work, and ensuring high-quality service.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and equipment logs.
- Support Manufacturing teams with vendor-recommended preventative maintenance, ensuring proper documentation and notifying Quality Control of any required calibrations.
- Maintain tools and supplies, coordinating the procurement of necessary parts and materials.
Additional Responsibilities
- Adhere to company quality standards, policies, and compliance regulations related to the role.
- Complete all required Quality & Compliance training within designated deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities & Safety Manager or US Head of Human Resources, Building Maintenance, and IT Infrastructure.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance, with technical proficiency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related trades.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Experience in vendor coordination and contract negotiation is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic-to-intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant training or certifications (e.g., OSHA or trade-specific certifications) are a plus.
- Understanding of cross-cultural differences and the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for up to 8 hours per day.
- Capable of lifting/carrying 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel for up to 4 hours per day.
- Capable of pushing/pulling loads of 50 lbs.
