Position Overview:
ESO Consultant is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) with phlebotomy skills to
support the Emergency Department (ED). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in
delivering direct patient care and assisting with essential clinical tasks to enhance the
efficiency of the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of nurses and healthcare providers.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures, including blood draws and specimen collection.
- Assist patients with mobility, hygiene, and daily activities as needed.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Support ED operations by ensuring patient rooms are clean and stocked with
necessary supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Accurately document patient care activities in Epic (Electronic Medical Record
System).
Requirements:
Required:
- Phlebotomy experience (Must be proficient in blood draws).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant,
or similar role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
Preferred:
- Certification as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant
(CNA).
- Previous experience in an Emergency Department (ED) or hospital setting.
