Job Title: Trainer for Visually Impaired Candidates
Location: Brooklyn, NY Pay Rate: $17 per hour
Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated Trainer to work with visually impaired (slightly blind) candidates, helping them develop the skills needed for various job roles at OCFs. The ideal candidate will have experience in training, coaching, or working with individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Train visually impaired candidates for different job roles.
- Adapt training methods to meet individual learning needs.
- Provide hands-on guidance and job-specific coaching.
- Assess candidates’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with employers to ensure a smooth transition into roles.
- Maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience in training, coaching, or workforce development.
- Understanding of adaptive learning strategies for visually impaired individuals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and the ability to provide individualized support.
- Prior experience in disability services is a plus.
