Business System Analyst - Health Insurance
6 Months Contract- Extension
Location : Newark, NJ
Job Description:
- This position is responsible for analyzing, understanding and translating business needs into business/technical requirements with minimal supervision.
- Performs Business Requirements gathering process, including the creation of deliverables
- Conducts detailed research
- Performs analysis necessary to identify viable solution alternatives
- Follows the Clients's business requirement's documentation process utilizing the appropriate tools
- Delivers work estimates to client(s)
- Creates technical documents and high-level solution design
- Participates in the complete system development life cycle
- May perform testing including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Work Experience:
- 4-6 years of related IT work experience preferably in the health insurance industry
- Has played a key role in major company initiatives and demonstrated some leadership experience
Skills:
- Requires ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Requires strong PC skills
- Requires excellent organizational skills
- Prefer working knowledge of programming, development, and technical architecture
- Specific Role Request - Strong business systems analyst who can perform the below tasks timely and accurately:
- Conduct research and work with subject matter experts to gather relevant business and technical information and ensure the documents they create are complete and accurate
- Create reports/dashboards, diagrams, workflow maps, or other visuals to facilitate enhanced system understanding
- Create and manage documentation; maintain records of system changes and incidents
- Track and trend performance issues and errors and proactively raise concerns for immediate resolution
- Write instructions and user manuals
