Specifics: Looking for a Bartender with experience to start at Esoteric Walnut Hills and help us drive our beer and bar program as we integrate food. Exemplify our expectation of Customer Service and instill that in the entire bar team. Work closely with Events, Kitchen, and Marketing to offer incredible experiences and drive volume through the taproom.

Typical hours will be as follows:

Respect:

Patient: Be the customers guide through our beer and drinks. Take the opportunity to excite and educate them on our beer and experience. Don't rush or become irritated if they don't know what they want. Ask them question and they give them a great suggestion.
Attentive: Overdeliver on meeting the customers need, meet their expectation before they know what that is. Go to the customer if bar is empty, check in and deliver great customer service.
Courteous: Welcome every guest. Well mannered regardless of the situation. Kill with kindness and respectfully deal with rude or unruly customers.
Considerate: Help our customers when help is not expected. Check in without being overbearing.

Job Overview: Taproom team members are solely responsible for providing direct service to patrons of the brewery. They are the face of the company during business hours, therefore they are the main facilitators in providing an outstanding experience to our guests. The Taproom Staff will have a variety of duties which should be executed at the highest level of standards, integrity, and attention to detail. They also represent how we live our core values.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Be an Esoteric Brewing ambassador, embodying the purpose, vision and values at all times
• Be a Walnut Hills ambassador, treating our patrons, teammates and community with love and respect
• Be accountable at all times for personal safety as well as the safety of those around them
• Be an expert on all processes and products
• Be able to perform all front of house operations quickly under high energy situations, including opening and closing duties
• Have a desire to be a student and a teacher of the culture and to lead by example
• Have a desire to constantly grow personally and with the business
• Maintain a high level of initiative, independence, and productivity
• Have a desire to do extracurricular projects outside of the daily operations
• Be innovative, passionate and proud about the work being performed
• Opening and closing tasks including general cleaning, stocking product, and putting furniture up and down
• Accurately and efficiently pour or mix alcoholic drinks for guests
• Monitor guests alcohol consumption in order to ensure a safe experience

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• Be able to occasionally lift or move product weighing 20-165 pounds
• Ability to count and accurately make change

Skills & Abilities:

• Attention to detail, ability to work unsupervised while maintaining safety and quality standards
• Comfort with multitasking and maintaining efficiency and productivity
• High level of integrity, cleanliness and quality standards
• Be able to communicate with manager and support staff, regardless of department or shift
• Be able to work with a stationary or handheld point of sale device
• Be able to safely change a keg

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.30 - $21.47 per hour
