What are the responsibilities and job description for the Microstation CAD Technician position at ESP Associates?
ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking a Microstation CAD Technician to join our Charleston, SC office. This is an opportunity to grow your career with a dynamic and growing Engineering, Surveying and Planning firm.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in surveying technology/geomatics, civil engineering, or related field and/or registration as a SIT preferred, but not required.
- 2 years of land surveying drafting experience required, 5 years preferred, with an emphasis on SC and NC Department of Transportation projects.
- Proficiency in MicroStation required.
- DOT/route/transportation experience preferred.
- Experience with/knowledge of the following equipment preferred: Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, robotic total stations.
- Computer skills involved in the submittal of daily files including downloading of data, preparation/organization of field sketches & digital photographs, completion of daily checklists is required.
- Experience with survey computations and platting, as well as field experience preferred.
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, navigational programs, and CADD programs.
- Position may require work to be performed in the field.
- Remote work possible, but onsite in Charleston preferred.
- Flexibility to work with multiple departments
- Candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong self-motivational and organizational skills.
- Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.
