Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Apprentice Electrician to join our electrical team in the 77070 area. This position is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in the electrical trade who are ready to gain hands-on experience under the supervision of licensed professionals. The apprentice will assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial, residential, and light industrial settings, including switchgear and power distribution components.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist licensed electricians with the installation of wiring, fixtures, control devices, and related equipment.
Pull wires through conduit and walls, and help install outlets, switches, and lighting.
Support in the installation, maintenance, and testing of switchgear, panelboards, and power distribution equipment.
Maintain tools and equipment in clean and working order.
Read blueprints, schematics, and follow instructions from supervisors.
Adhere to all local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
Perform basic troubleshooting of electrical issues under supervision.
Help load and unload materials and tools at job sites.
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Must be currently enrolled in or willing to enroll in a Texas-approved electrical apprenticeship program.
Valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
OSHA 10 certification preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong work ethic and desire to learn the electrical trade.
Basic understanding of electrical tools and equipment.
Exposure to or interest in learning about medium and low-voltage switchgear systems.
Ability to work safely on ladders, lifts, rooftops, and in crawl spaces.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to follow instructions and ask questions when needed.

May require overtime or weekend shifts depending on project timelines.
