Summary:
esp is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Savannah Programs Team. The Savannah Program Coordinator’s role is to plan, develop, implement, staff, and review all year-round programs that occur in their respective city.
The Program Coordinator plays a key role in planning and maintaining the quality of esp programs and events for all esp families. This position requires a passionate individual with a keen eye for safety and the ability to create transformative experiences. A team mindset and multitasking skills are essential. esp's mission is fulfilled through fun Experiences for people with disabilities, building a Support community for their families, and providing Purpose for adults with disabilities through meaningful employment.
Top Five Responsibilities:
- Create transformative experiences for all year-round programs
- Oversee Programs operations and logistics for all year-round programs, ensuring good participant safety and engagement
- Leadership, Management, and Accountability of any Programs assistants, interns, and/or volunteers
- Engagement and communication with esp families and stakeholders
- Quality Control and execution of excellent programs

Detailed Functions, Responsibilities & Skills:
- Identify opportunities of growth for Programs in Savannah
- Oversee the implementation of all program events (Afternoon Programs, Club Events, Miracle League Games, Summer Camps)
- Recruit, train, and manage all Afternoon Programs interns and/or volunteers
- Attend and run Java Joy events to high standard
- Engage with community members to recruit new families, volunteers, Java Joy bookings, etc.
- Create an annual programs calendar, ensuring a diverse portfolio of transformative experiences
- Regularly audit all esp Savannah programs and ensure the “esp way” and standard is being met
- Represent esp in the community
- Provide emergency family support as needed
- Identify target audiences to invite into the mission of esp for year-round programming
- Manage and coach assistants and interns during programs to ensure participants are properly cared for
- Cultivate and manage relationships with interns, community partners, and volunteers in our community
- Communicate effectively with a set age group of esp Savannah families and assist them year-round with all family support needs
- Be a strong advocate for keeping the esp Savannah building and assets in great condition, looking for ways to continually improve
Knowledge and Skills:
- Prioritize safety for our participants, families, interns, assistants and volunteers at year-round programs
- Actively seek input and collaborate across the organization on how we can be better
- Meet daily needs and project deadlines while also being strategic and performance-oriented
- Think strategically about how we can innovate new and ongoing programs
- Exhibit strong time and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple events
- Lead the implementation of a successful intern training program
- Warmly engage with esp families and stakeholders
- Develop charismatic, concise, and influential presentations to impact the community everywhere you go
- Successfully manage multiple projects and competing needs, always prioritizing what is in the best interest of esp’s mission
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communicator, with the ability to lead meetings, speak to community audiences, share esp’s mission, and communicate with diverse audiences
- Engage with community members, build meaningful relationships, and advance the esp mission with them
- Work nights and weekends on a flexible schedule
Experience/Preferred Requirements:
- Proficiency in Google Suite and comfortable with technology and multiple management platforms
- Preferred history of planning and executing large programs/projects
- A high quotient for hospitality and customer service
- Experience serving individuals with developmental disabilities not required
Job Details:
- Compensation: $45,000 - $50,000
- FLSA Status: Exempt, Salaried, Full-Time
