Purchasing Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement processes and supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our supply chain operates efficiently and effectively, managing the purchasing of goods and services necessary for our operations. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement management, supply chain dynamics, and vendor management to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.

Duties

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure favorable conditions for the company.
• Oversee the purchasing process from requisition through to delivery, ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services.
• Collaborate with various departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Utilize Quickbooks Online for tracking orders, managing inventory, and reporting on procurement activities.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities.
• Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance metrics to ensure quality standards are met consistently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in procurement management or supply chain management roles is required.
• Strong knowledge of logistics, vendor management, and supplier management practices.
• Familiarity with Quickbooks Online is highly desirable.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail in contract terms.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to purchasing trends and supplier performance.
• Effective communication skills and problem solving to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
