Safety Tech Trainee Job Overview (Agriculture & Warehouse)
Position Summary: As a Bilingual Safety Technician Trainee, you will receive hands-on training in both agricultural and warehouse settings, learning key safety practices, risk management strategies, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Safety Technicians in conducting safety inspections and monitoring conditions in agricultural fields and warehouses.
- Learn and Implement Risk Management Practices focused on reducing hazards from equipment, chemicals, and manual labor in agriculture and warehouse operations.
- Support Workers' Compensation Procedures by documenting workplace incidents, preparing reports, and following up on injury cases.
- Ensure Compliance with OSHA, EHS, NEC, and other regulations, with a focus on agricultural equipment (tractors, harvesters) and warehouse machinery (forklifts, racking systems).
- Participate in Safety Audits and Inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards for machine operation, chemical storage, electrical systems, and protective equipment.
- Assist in Occupational Health and Safety Programs, including safety training sessions for employees, ensuring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and enforcing safety protocols.
- Engage in Hazard Communication (HazCom) and Emergency Response Plans, learning how to manage workplace accidents, chemical spills, and evacuations.
- Communicate Safety Protocols in Both English and Spanish, ensuring that all employees, regardless of language, understand and follow safety regulations and practices.
Skills and Competencies:
- Bilingual Fluency: Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish to train and support a diverse workforce in understanding safety protocols.
- Basic Understanding of Risk Management: Knowledge of how to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to heavy machinery, chemical handling, and warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with OSHA, EHS, and NEC Regulations: Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations, particularly those affecting agricultural and warehouse environments.
- Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record: Ability to travel between work sites safely and efficiently to conduct safety audits and inspections.
- Team Collaboration & Learning Mindset: A strong willingness to learn from senior safety technicians, work alongside various departments, and continuously improve your safety expertise.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to identifying safety hazards, reviewing compliance records, and ensuring that all safety standards are strictly followed.

Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
