We are currently looking to add a Machine Operator I to our Sheet Metal department. We offer an awesome benefits package, work/life balance, positive work environment, and opportunities for advancement!
Working Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm with Friday overtime as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates 1-2 machines in the sheet metal department from the following list: Shear, Laser, Small Bystronic, Large Bystronic, Cincinnati Press, Panel Bender, or Turret machine.
- Pulls steel and cuts according to the run list.
- Processes work orders according to the information on Travelers instructions.
- Labels parts with program numbers for identification.
- Handles rework as required.
- Unloads incoming steel shipments.
- De-burs parts.
- Changes nozzles as needed.
- Inspects, tags, and stores steel.
- Operates a forklift for material handling.
- Maintains a clean workspace and performs routine machine maintenance.
- Provides machine operator training.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide is required.
- Must be able to read calipers and a tape measure.
- Must be able to operate a forklift or willing to learn (on-site training provided).
- Previous machine experience preferred.
