Crisis Advocate
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Compensation: $18-$21 per hour
Schedule: Two shifts available: Swing (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) or Overnight (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Status: Full-Time or Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Reports to: VP of Client Services & Crisis Advocate Supervisor
Esperanza Shelter is seeking a compassionate Crisis Advocate to provide trauma-informed case management and advocacy services for survivors of relationship violence, stalking, sexual assault, and human trafficking. As our Crisis Advocate, you'll be instrumental in supporting residents in our emergency shelter and housing programs while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Job Summary
- Provides trauma-informed case management and advocacy services
- Manages crisis calls and determines program eligibility
- Conducts safety planning and ongoing interventions
- Maintains shelter security and resident support
- Coordinates resident move-in/move-out assistance
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages resident caseload providing advocacy and goal-related support
- Communicates and enforces shelter guidelines
- Conducts regular safety checks and monitors facility security
- Maintains facility cleanliness and organization
- Documents all services from intake to discharge
- Participates in required meetings and trainings
Essential Job Functions

Qualifications Required
- Associate's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- One year experience in related field
- Valid New Mexico Driver's License
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English, Tewa/English, or ASL/English)
- Two to three years' experience
- Domestic violence advocacy experience
- Experience with diverse populations

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
