Position Title: Manager, Commercial Operations and Field Reporting

The Manager, Commercial Operations and Field Reporting is responsible for the development and delivery of business intelligence and analytics services across Esperion’s Commercial teams for use in decision-making by business stakeholders. As part of the Commercial Operations & Analytics team, this position offers a unique opportunity to experience broad exposure and to participate in the implementation of analytics solutions to enable Marketing, Commercial Operations, Managed Care and other business partners within the organization to effectively executive their daily business objectives. The individual will be flexible and eager to embrace a continuous, aggressive learning curve and capable of supporting multiple projects in a cross-functionally collaborative environment. Additionally, a customer-focused orientation with strong oral, written and presentation skills are keys to success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities*

  • As the primary contact to the business and sales leadership, lead overall sales analytics and Field Analytics Tool – this includes, data integrity and accuracy, and develop enhancements.
  • Develops relationships with internal Commercial teams, including Marketing, Sales Learning & Development and Market Access, to understand their initiatives and provide support where needed
  • Champion the Field facing Tableau Dashboards – training, updates, changes and lead development of enhancements.
  • Provide strategic insight to ensure specific goals and perspectives are integrated and activated across the brand life cycle management objectives.
  • Evaluate various data inputs to better equip the organization’s success. Function as subject matter expert and provide answers around field facing reporting, which in turn supports Field Performance using Sales Tools.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and internal resource when it comes to understanding various data sources, answering data related questions and impacts on Incentive Compensation.
  • Maintain focus on process improvement, efficiencies, and automation.
  • Master Data Management - In conjunction with Commercial Analytics and Operations, ensure the system and processes are in place to ensure a clean data warehouse, champion data exchanges with vendors.
  • Assist with sample management processes/systems and manage key processes that impact credentialling, sample compliance, including signature capture requirements, sample inventory, tracking, and sample destruction as needed.
  • Assist with delivery of on-boarding training for all new field staff to ensure effective understanding, use and compliance with key field systems (e.g., sample management, field business rules, fleet, EFA, Tableau etc.).
  • Ensures all aspects of assigned areas are conducted in a compliant fashion and are aligned to the needs of the sales organization and overall corporate direction/strategy/goals.
  • Assist with sales roster, including management of new hires, transfers and terminations. Share roster data to applicable vendors and internal teams. Ensure proper alignment for all field personal.
  • Helps day to day activities with our fleet program, serves as vendor manager, and ensures the program's cost-effective implementation.
  • Maintain updated daily Rx report ensuring accuracy and produce data outputs to be used in developing executive level presentations.
  • Effective communication skills, and data storytelling with data visualization.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical and technical concepts.
  • Willing to undertake various responsibilities outside of area of expertise as opportunity presents.

Qualifications (Education & Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or life science discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical commercial analytics and/or sales operations; or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony, claims, Veeva CRM, and other syndicated data sources)
  • Possess an ability to translate technical, advanced analytics across the company into a clear narrative with recommendations to help improve our commercial business.
  • Relevant experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, QlikView, MicroStrategy, etc.
  • Customer-service orientation with strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand business requirements, propose solutions, gain alignment and execute plans successfully.
  • Proven ability to work creatively in a small company, fast-paced environment maintaining flexibility and changing priorities to meet demanding timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective / collaborative working relationships
  • Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and priorities
  • Proficient with other Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Salary : $135,000 - $152,000
