About the job: Embark on a new career journey to shape the future as a Paint Spray Technician, where you will be part of a team crafting transformers & power supplies destined for military and industrial products. The Paint Spray Technician sprays surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective or decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer. Unlock your operational skills and production finesse by reinforcing products that protect today’s military.

Paint Spray Technician Key Responsibilities including, but not limited to:

· Spray surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective or decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer

· Clean grease and dirt from product

· Perform water break tests on products, where applicable

· Mask off parts and areas with tape and other masking material that are not to be coated

· Select and mix coating liquid to produce desired viscosity; Pour coating liquid into spray container and connect gun to air hose; Turn sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray; Pull trigger and direct spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.

· Coat areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush.

· Clean spraying equipment and brushes with solvent, and/or water depending on product.

· Remove rust from metal with solvent, wire brush, or sand paper.

· Maintain housekeeping and organization of work area.

· Self-inspection and other inspections completed prior to advancing products to next phase of build-up

· Enter information into the ERP system and complete all paperwork ensuring the documentation is routed to its' proper destination

· Identify and report any issues or concerns related to product quality, packaging, or documentation including but not limited to equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to supervisors

· Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including cleaning equipment and removing debris or obstructions

· Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge

· Adhere to company policies and procedures, including attendance, punctuality, and workplace conduct & Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to support a positive work environment and achieve production goals

· Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents or exposure to hazardous materials

Required Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent

· Minimum 2 years industrial or commercial paint application experience

· Must be 18 years or older

· Must be able to work full time

· While performing the functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and lift up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel crawl, talk or hear, and lift up to 100 pounds

· Must be able to read drawings, bill of materials, and be familiar with specification.

· Use of respirator is required; must pass a fit test and physical for a respirator.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environments

· Basic mathematic skills including, but not limited to, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and determining ratios

· Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills

· Ability to follow work instructions and work effectively in a team environment

· Attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and site and product security

· Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with coworkers and supervisors
