The Assistant Controller position is responsible for assisting the Regional Controller in all duties ranging from data entry to annual budgets and strategic planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial statements and related reports including balance sheets, budgets, cost analysis, variance analysis, etc.
- Assist in tracking capital projects and maintenance budget.
- Assist in preparing and presenting financial dashboards and reports to management
- Assist in the annual budget proposal and monthly budget reviews
- Assist with invoice entry and payments.
- Assist with setting up new vendors and customers.
- Assist in company strategic planning and special projects as required
- Handle intercompany transactions.
- Process General Ledger reconciliations and Journal entry transactions.
- Update standard costing each week.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly SOX reviews.
- Update weekly and monthly HFM figures
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 5 years of manufacturing experience in Accounting/Finance.
- SAP accounting software knowledge.
- JDE experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Strong background in Excel.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledgeable in GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Capable of performing data analysis to draw important conclusions about the business financials.
- Cross-department communication and cooperation skills.
