Our client is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator with experience in heavy construction, specifically in site development, excavation, and/or bridge work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing bid packages, developing cost estimates, analyzing subcontractor bids, and assisting with project negotiations and construction.

About the Role:
Our client is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator with experience in heavy construction, specifically in site development, excavation, and/or bridge work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing bid packages, developing cost estimates, analyzing subcontractor bids, and assisting with project negotiations and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend site visits to prepare cost estimates and proposals
- Manage all phases of the estimating and budgeting process
- Present bids to potential clients
- Utilize HCSS "Heavy Bid” software to develop estimates
- Transition estimates into job accounting software
- Support other estimators and collaborate with Project Managers
- Assist with change order pricing and scope modifications
- Maintain productive and professional client relationships
- Contribute to technical approach and resource planning
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating
- At least 3 years of experience in bridge or site development construction
- Strong communication, analytical, and time management skills
- Goal-driven and detail-oriented
- Professionalism and ethical behavior in all interactions
- Associate degree or higher in a related field (preferred)
- Valid Driver's License (required)
- Proficiency with HCSS "Heavy Bid” or similar estimating tools
- Familiarity with construction budgeting and accounting practices
