The Fiber Permitting Specialist will assist in serving the Client's needs in a five State region including Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia to assist in preparing permits.

The Fiber Permitting Specialist will assist in serving the Client's needs in a five State region including Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia to assist in preparing permits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and prepare environmental and non-environmental permits through municipalities, townships, counties, and state departments of transportation
- Interpret engineering drawings to identify and develop permits
- Environmental analysis and evaluations
- Support project managers, design engineers, environmental consultants, GIS mapping specialists, vegetation management team, Right-of-Way managers, and real estate coordinators as required
- Track the status of permit applications and escalate any delays or issues that may impact project timelines.
- Support Client needs as directed
- Efficient at working independently as well as in a team environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or a related natural science degree from an accredited program.
- Working knowledge of general permitting requirements and laws
- Strong attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in working with Google Earth, PDF viewer/editing programs, spreadsheets, and other task-tracking software
- Capable of working with diverse skill sets in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player focused on Client service
- Well-organized and able to simultaneously pursue and track multiple project efforts
