MECHANICAL ENGINEER – STATIC EQUIPMENT
Location: Downers Grove, IL 60515
Can be 100% remote OR work out of the Downers Grove, IL office.
Job type: 2 month plus Contract assignment.
It is scheduled for 2 months but may go longer for the right individual OR go direct hire.
Our client, a national private EPC Firm, is hiring a Mechanical Engineer – Static Equipment for a contract opportunity out of their Downers Grove, IL. Office.
Looking for someone with experience in putting together Technical Specs for Mechanical Static Equipment such as: Pressure valves, heat exchanges and tanks in the Petrochemical or Refining industry) for vendors to review and quote.
Candidate will also review the quote from the vendor to insure accuracy from what is requested to what is quoted.
Looking for 8-10 years of experience minimum.

The Mechanical Engineer – Static Equipment is responsible for supporting a key Refining and Petrochemical client with the requisitioning, technical bid evaluation, and vendor document review of various static equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare specifications for vessels, exchangers, tanks, and other process industry static equipment.
- Perform static equipment technical bid evaluations and prepare recommendations.
- Review static equipment vendor documents for compliance to project specifications and industry standards.
- Attend Client, Vendor, and Internal Team meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10 years of static equipment experience working in the Refining, Petrochemical or Chemical Industry.
- Good Communication Skills (Active Listening, Verbal, and Written)
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work in an interactive and open team environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
