Our client, a national private EPC Firm, is hiring a  Field I&C Engineer  for a long-term contract opportunity in  Belle Chasse, LA.

This position allows for a work-from-home schedule on Monday and Friday but is required at a client site Tuesday – Thursday. Per Diem is available for the right candidate – local is a plus

The Field Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems. This role involves facilitating small projects and providing direct support to maintenance teams to ensure efficient and safe operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project Facilitation : Lead and manage small-scale instrumentation and control projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet project specifications, timelines, and budgets. Project development / completion based on items identified through PHA.
• Installation and Commissioning : Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems in the field.
• Technical Support : Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to maintenance teams and operations staff.
• Compliance and Safety : Ensure all instrumentation and control systems comply with relevant safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation of field activities, including calibration records, maintenance logs, and issue reports.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems.

Relevant certifications such as EIT, ISA, PMP, PMI, or PE are preferred.

Proficiency in reading instrumentation drawings, logic diagrams, and using general-purpose software (e.g., MS Office).
