Assistant Geologist
Location : Bloomington, MN
Job type : Contract - Hire
Our client is currently hiring an Assistant Geologist for a full-time contract-to-hire position in Bloomington, MN.
There is 10% - 30% travel for this position to locations in the upper Midwest and Southwestern United States.
The Assistant Geologist will assist with a variety of environmental investigation and remediation-based projects for federal, state, local, and commercial clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist with field-related activities including logging soils, air monitoring during investigation and remediation activities, installation of groundwater monitoring wells, collection of soil, groundwater, and vapor samples for field screening and laboratory analysis, and collection of soil for physical testing.
- Assist in evaluating soil and groundwater data, developing soil and groundwater sampling plans, and data compilation for soil, air, and groundwater analytical results.
- Assist with proposal preparation, work plans, and report writing for environmental-based projects.
Assist in coordinating and scheduling subcontractors for field investigation activities and assisting with site remediation planning and implementation.
