What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Electrical Engineer position at ESPO?
SR. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Duration : 6 month possible contract to hire
Location : Jamacia, NY (Hybrid) 2 days in office / 3 days remote
US Citizenship or Green Card required.
Electrical Engineer will provide Infrastructure Engineering Support to include, but not limited to the following :
- Design low voltage power distribution systems.
- Prepare single line diagrams and wiring diagrams under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Coordinate design with other disciplines (i.e., civil, architectural, mechanical, structural, etc.)
- Adhere to Clients policy for accurate project documentation for project files.
- Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE / CAD as applicable.
- Prepare standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
- Prepare detailed requisitions for low voltage equipment and materials.
- Size conduit, conductors and overcurrent protection devices per the National Electric Code (NEC).
- Reviews small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses.
- Prepare and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
- Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designers / Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Perform field surveys and collect required data as per project needs.
