Summary:
Esposito Construction has dozens of major sitework projects underway in NJ and we’re looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience

Requirements:
- Ability to perform large and small repairs in either a mobile or shop setting.
- Strong preventative and predictive maintenance experience.
- Experienced in engine diagnostics, hydraulics, electrical, HVAC, drivetrain, brakes and suspension.
- Focuses first and foremost on “safety” in all aspects of equipment repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair dozers, loaders, excavators, and occasionally Mack trucks.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative care to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Identify and replace faulty hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components as needed.
- Conduct engine, transmission, and brake system repairs on heavy equipment.
- Perform welding and fabrication when necessary for structural repairs.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Work independently or as part of a team to minimize downtime of equipment.
- Occasionally perform field service repairs on job sites when equipment breakdowns occur.
- Keeps shop/truck equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
