The successful candidate must be personable, organized, service-oriented, and have computer knowledge in order to process customer orders quickly, efficiently, and accurately. Summary:
Assist with customer’s needs, answering telephone inquiries, general housekeeping in respective showroom areas, maintaining products & merchandising displays, as well as maintaining supplier catalogues. Process customer orders quickly, efficiently, and accurately.
Duties:
- Greet customers, be helpful & determine needs.
- Work with various other departments to get answers to customer questions.
- Process credit card transactions.
- Keep merchandise displays fresh & attractive in appearance, maintain product identifier tags.
- Become familiar with products and pursue product knowledge. Know your customers’ needs. Listen for new products to bring in and stay current with price changes.
- Be up to date on product discontinuation or changes.
- Maintain supplier brochures with pricing & information.
- Verify accuracy of cash transactions, closing the transaction drawer and notify supervisor of discrepancies.
- Be alert of suspicious activity to monitor/minimize theft.
- Be fully knowledgeable of company policies and procedures.
- Keeping sales area neat and tidy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) highly preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime if needed
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
