What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Accountant – Accounting Operations position at Esri?
Overview
As a Sr Accountant on the Accounting Operations team, you will be supporting the financial management of the companys assets, you will be responsible for managing these assets in the financial systems and the key controls and corporate policies supporting these activities. In addition, this role will assist and support our ERP Developers in the implementation, documentation, and maintenance of system enhancements and internal controls related to the asset modules. This role will involve a variety of monthly accounting and closing responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Procurement and review purchase orders to ensure accurate coding on purchases
- Enter and maintain asset master record data and perform transfers, donations, and disposals within the fixed asset system
- Perform monthly close activities, including reports, reconciliations, analysis, and journal entries
- Support necessary compliance activities related to audit, tax, or other business needs
- Utilize knowledge of key internal control concepts to create, update, standardize and improve documentation of business processes and internal controls for company assets
- Partner with IST and Global Operations on Asset related requests
