Position Summary

The role of the Maintenance Planner is to provide maintenance planning activities and providing operational support to production.

Essential Functions

· Manage preventive and predictive maintenance program to maintain efficient equipment operation.

· Prepare, review, update, and close maintenance work orders (e.g., job plan, labor hours, skill set required, and parts availability) through established program.

· Manage and coordinate work order backlog to establish execution schedules based on production and maintenance requirements and available resources to minimize planned downtime activities.

· Schedule and manage daily and weekly maintenance activity schedules.

· Create purchase orders to procure parts and production supplies, including price negotiation and purchase processes.

· Maintain inventory of maintenance department parts and production supplies, including inventory control, purchasing approval coordination, and inventory product process.

· Maintain up-to-date library of machine manuals, prints and schematics.

· Work closely with maintenance staff on continuously improving programs by editing tasks and frequencies when approved by manager.

· Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.

· Model professional workplace conduct and adherence to company policies such as the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) compliance, attendance, punctuality, efficient and productive work habits, and good personal hygiene.

· Ensure that work is performed safely in accordance with company standards.

· Enforce safety regulations and conformance of company policies.

· Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Demonstrated understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

· Good working knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office programs

· Ability to clearly communicate technical system issues.

· Must work effectively in a team setting as well as promote team and cooperation

· Ability to analyze work requirements and plan accordingly.

· Ability to work with single and three phase voltage.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, and at least one year of related manufacturing maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

· None. Reports to the Maintenance Manager.

The employee is occasionally required to sit and reach above shoulder heights, below the waist of lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is in a plant / office setting with varying degrees of temperatures typically ranging between 40-50 degrees Fahrenheit, and occasionally exposure to ranges between -5- and -51 degrees Fahrenheit. Noise levels are moderate to high. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet / slippery floors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $29.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
