We are seeking a dedicated Academic Support Specialist to assist the classroom teacher in providing extra support to students with special needs.
Job Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a willingness to work collaboratively with the teaching staff to promote maximum academic and personal growth among students.
- Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups of students
- Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and/or during before and after school programs
- Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
Compensation: $13-$22/hr
