We are seeking skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team as substitute paraprofessionals in New Jersey.
This role is perfect for those with or without teaching experience, as our hiring coordinators will guide you through the application and onboarding process.
About the Role:
As a substitute paraprofessional, you will work closely with classroom teachers to provide additional support to students with special needs, promoting their academic and personal growth. Your responsibilities will include supplementing regular curriculum, assisting individual students, and performing various administrative tasks.
You may also be known as a school aide, teacher assistant, instructional aide, one-to-one aide, or personal care assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups
- Assist with classroom management and supervision of the class
- Support teachers with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials
- Supervise students during meals, outdoor activities, and other programs
- Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs
- Follow provisions specified in students' IEPs/504 Plans to support students with special needs
- Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
Compensation: $13-$22/hour
Salary : $13 - $22
