We are currently hiring substitute paraprofessionals to fill openings in schools across New Jersey.
This position is suitable for individuals with or without teaching experience, as we offer comprehensive support throughout the application and onboarding process.
About the Job:
As a substitute paraprofessional, you will have the opportunity to work closely with classroom teachers, providing essential support to students with special needs. Your responsibilities will include supplementing regular curriculum, assisting individual students, and contributing to various administrative tasks.
You may also be known as a school aide, teacher assistant, instructional aide, one-to-one aide, or personal care assistant.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Offer personalized instruction to individual students or small groups
- Assist teachers with classroom management and student supervision
- Support teachers with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials
- Supervise students during meals, outdoor activities, and other programs
- Meet students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs
- Follow provisions specified in students' IEPs/504 Plans to support students with special needs
- Complete other tasks assigned by the classroom teacher and school administration
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- English proficiency (speaking, reading, writing)
Hourly Wage: $13-$22
Salary : $13 - $22
