About the Position:
As a substitute paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs, helping them achieve academic and personal growth. Your responsibilities will include working closely with classroom teachers, providing instructional reinforcement, and assisting with various administrative tasks.
You may also be referred to as a school aide, teacher assistant, instructional aide, one-to-one aide, or personal care assistant.
Essential Duties:
- Deliver targeted instruction to individual students or small groups
- Collaborate with teachers to manage classrooms and supervise students
- Contribute to administrative tasks such as setting up equipment and preparing materials
- Oversee students during meals, outdoor activities, and other programs
- Care for students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs
- Adhere to provisions specified in students' IEPs/504 Plans to support students with special needs
- Carry out other duties assigned by the classroom teacher and school administration
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
Hourly Rate: $13-$22
Salary : $13 - $22
