Are you ready to make an impact on the students at Morgan County Schools by becoming an Auxiliary Teacher? Auxiliary Teachers play a crucial role in K-2 classrooms by supporting classroom teachers to provide extra support to students, promoting maximum academic and personal growth. The Auxiliary Teacher job responsibilities range from supplementing regular classroom curriculum to helping individual students.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups of students
- Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class
- Help with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials
- Supervise students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and/or during before and after school programs.
- Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs
- Support students with extra needs by following provisions specified by classroom teacher
- Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration
- Qualifications:
- Must have at least 9 hrs of coursework in childhood development as approved by ALSDE.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or coursework in childhood development as approved by the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE). It is permissible to employ auxiliary teachers who are in the process of completing their full credential.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- ABI/FBI Criminal History Clearance
- Must be proficient in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
