Crossing Guard
An ESS crossing guard assists students with safe passage at designated cross streets and other duties as assigned by the building principal.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe passage and crossing for all students who cross streets at designated intersection/crossing areas
- Be aware of various school calendars in the district and the corresponding holidays, early dismissals, etc., reporting to assigned duty at prescribed times.
- Participate in two to three meetings with the building principal each year to discuss related issues
- Secure a substitute crossing guard when unable to report for duty
- Complete required time slips at designated time each week To perform all other related duties assigned by the building principal
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- PA Department of Education Form 6004: Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification - Act 24
- PA State Police Criminal History Clearance - Act 34
- Federal Criminal History Clearance - Act 114
- Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training - Act 126
- Child Abuse Clearance - Act 151
- Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release - Act 168
- Tuberculosis Test/Physical
