The Field Hazmat Technician is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, general construction and other tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
Pay: $18.00- 20.00 per hour

The Field Hazmat Technician is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, general construction and other tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize hand-tools and equipment, absorbent booms and pads to contain and remediate impacted surfaces, soils and waters
- Operate light and heavy equipment including: pumps, vacuum, oil spill boom, generators, bobcats, etc
- Perform emergency response activities including: chemical and water spills, etiological and biological contamination, tank cleaning, equipment decontamination
- Be able to meet a 12 hour night or day shift work schedule with dependability and consistency
- Other duties as assigned
- Able to work on-call projects as well as longer term projects
- Experience with pump watch, setting up gabion walls and sediment removal required
- Ability to perform labor intensive activities in any weather or environmental conditions
- Reliable local transportation
- Ability to perform duties while adhering to safety priorities while wearing PPE, such as respirators and protective clothing'
Pay: $18.00- 20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Do you have a current 40 Hour Hazwoper Certificate? If so, when does it expire?
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- OSHA 30 (Preferred)
- Driver's License (Required)
- Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response Training (Required)
