Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and venipuncture.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and in compliance with regulations.
Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.
- Experience in patient care settings, preferably within a primary or urgent care environment.
- Strong skills in IV insertion and venipuncture are essential.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
