Job Summary
Position Title : Vice President of Innovation Models
Job summary : The Vice President of Innovation Models is responsible for models within the GUIDE model service offering. This role involves identifying opportunities for innovation, overseeing the design and execution of new and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The Vice President is responsible for strategic planning, financial performance, clinical outcomes management, operations, direction, growth and expansion of alternative payment model programs. Responsibilities include developing new business strategies in preparation for greater value-based reimbursement and risk-taking arrangements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration, extensive knowledge of value-based care models, and a proven track record of success in managing accountable care initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the strategic vision and goals for the organization’s High Needs ACO, GUIDE model service offering, and other alternative payment model arrangements.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, hospitals, physicians, and other stakeholders to establish effective partnerships and drive the organization’s transition to value-based care.
- Lead the development and execution of value-based initiatives, including care coordination, population health management, quality improvement, and cost containment efforts.
- Engage management teams, physicians, and APPs on clinical issues pertaining to resource utilization, utilization review, risk management, patient safety, physician engagement and other issues as appropriate.
- Oversee the financial performance of the ACO, including budgeting, revenue optimization, and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain a thorough understanding of evolving healthcare policies and reforms.
- Collaborate with data analytics teams to collect, analyze, and leverage data to drive evidence-based decision-making and improve outcomes.
- Provide regular reports and updates to system leaders and key stakeholder groups, presenting key performance indicators, financial metrics, and strategic recommendations.
- Develop and recruit effective leaders to ensure operational plans are deployed.
- Embed health equity and diversity efforts into all value-based care programs to support goals for all populations.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be an executive with extensive healthcare administration experience and ideally a master’s degree in related fields. Physician leaders are preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will be proficient in accountable care models, value-based care, financial management, strategic planning, regulatory knowledge, and data-driven decision-making.
