Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as in the community. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications.
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of patients, including ordering and interpreting lab tests and imaging studies
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical histories
- Order and manage medications, including IV insertion and administration
- Provide patient education and counseling on health and wellness, disease prevention, and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documenting patient interactions and test results
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize electronic health records (eClinicalWorks) to document patient information and manage patient care
- Provide home care services to patients in need of extended medical care
- Work with patients with developmental disabilities and their caregivers to promote healthy living and prevent chronic illnesses
- Demonstrate aseptic technique and follow proper infection control protocols
- Provide care in an ICU setting as needed
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering excellent patient care.
Requirements:
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of
- Master's degree in nursing or a related field
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP-C)
- Experience working with patients with a variety of medical conditions, including developmental disabilities
- Proficiency in ICD-9 coding
- Strong clinical skills, with the ability to diagnose and treat a range of illnesses and conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
