Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care to patients experiencing acute or chronic pain, collaborating with physicians to develop comprehensive pain management plans.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify pain etiology and severity
- Administer medications and treatments for pain relief following established protocols
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions to pain management interventions
- Educate patients and families on pain management strategies and self-care techniques
- Assist in interventional procedures such as nerve blocks or injections
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Valid RN license with Pain Management certification preferred
- Proven experience in pain management, anesthesia, or related field
- Proficiency in IV insertion and medication administration
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation for pain conditions
- Ability to triage patients based on acuity levels
- Familiarity with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) usage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in areas such as dermal fillers, infectious disease care, internal medicine, and hospital medicine is advantageous
