Job Overview:
Essence Homecare, LLC is seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to join our standby roster for caregiver positions in Lancaster, Adams, Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, and York counties. We are currently adding qualified caregivers to our roster to begin assignment in December, 2024.
Duties:
- Provide patient care and support in daily activities
- Work with individuals with autism and assist in behavior management
- Administer first aid when necessary
- Assist with lifting and transferring individuals as needed
- Drive clients to appointments or outings
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required
- Manage challenging behaviors effectively
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or those in hospice care
Experience:
- Prior experience in patient care or caregiving is preferred
- Familiarity with working with people with autism is a plus
- Certification in first aid is beneficial
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals safely
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
- Experience in heavy lifting tasks is advantageous
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques is desirable
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is a plus
- Experience in dementia care or hospice care is a bonus
